Shane Jeremy James asks strangers what compassion means to them?

I wanted to see how people would react when some random guy asks them a really deep question like what does compassion mean to you? In this social experiment, I got some funny reactions but I also got some deep uplifting answers as well.
“Compassion is an action word with no boundaries.” Prince

What Is Compassion?

Compassion literally means “to suffer together.” Among emotion researchers, it is defined as the feeling that arises when you are confronted with another’s suffering and feel motivated to relieve that suffering.

The Dalai Lama once said, “If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion.

There is hope for the world!
If you don’t naturally come off as someone who are greatly compassionate or empathetic, studies prove it’s a habit that can be cultivated.

You act on your compassion
An important part of compassion is giving back, even in the smallest of ways. Performing actions that are loving and compassionate, we experience more love all around us.

Compassionate people constantly act on their compassion, whether it’s through volunteering at seniors home or being a kind friend — and in return, they’re much happier because of it.
“Use your voice for kindness, your ears for compassion, your hands for charity, your mind for truth, and your heart for love.” Anonymous

Many studies show that adults can be trained to be more compassionate. The studies investigate whether training adults in compassion can result in greater altruistic behavior and related changes in neural systems underlying compassion. YES!
